I received the watch on the 28th Dec and was impressed with the watch.

The battery did run flat 5 hours after I started it though this was rectified with a change in battery.
It has been running well since.

The strap of the watch is silicon and not rubber. It is thus more flexible and it can be stretched a little which makes the watch a nice comfortable fit around your wrist.

I also thought the SRP should be lower than the 1000 amazon stated. More like 600 if I recall correctly.

I gave it 4 stars just because of the battery incident.

I hadn't worn a watch in years due to my vocation as a finish carpenter/cabinetmaker. When I needed to know the time, I grabbed my cellphone out of its protective leather case. Now that I'm basically retired, a watch is safe on my wrist!

I wanted to get a chronograph that would allow me to get precise time information for the sailing I am doing, and this Stuhrling Phoenix does that and looks good doing it. Not having worn a wristwatch in a while, I was concerned that it would be uncomfortable but the silicon rubber band is exceptionally comfortable. I was pleased to find such a watch in the 42mm diameter, as the 5xmm and up diameters are simply too large for practicality: I want to wear the watch, not have the watch wear me!

An excellent example of Swiss precision craftsmanship. I recommend it without reservation.
